There's a Moth in Randa's Underwear

Sunday we did laundry.  It was not sunny but the clothes dried quite quickly.  While we were checking for dryness we discovered this fellow in one of Randa's skivies.  So I started thinking about how fun it was and came up with a poem.

  •                                     There's a Moth in Randa's Underwear

    There's a moth in Randa's underwear

It came from, I don't know where

The creature itself is quite cute

Of that, there is no dispute

But it doesn't belong in panties of pink

And she's too afraid to touch it, I think

And so she wonders what should she do?

Surely, she can't just say , Shoo, Shoo !"

Thinking that if she just walks away

Maybe it will fly to someone else's lingerie

    There's a moth in Randa's underwear

It's been a month and it's still there

So there it hangs for all to observe

Randa won't go near it. She hasn't the nerve

The clothesline is bare except for a pink

Reminder that undies are best washed in the sink

Making the Rounds in the Campground.

Every morning the boys and I walk down the hill from our site and stroll through the campground checking out the rigs in as we get some exercise.  The boys get to sample some new smells and find a interesting place to squat or lift their leg over.  I end up with several doggies bags to deposit in the waste dumpsters in the campground.  It seems that the boys know when I have just dumped the bag because many times they will give me another present.

The moon was setting as we made our rounds this morning.

      Horny toad

Randa noticed this Horned Lizard that was hiding in a cactus near our outdoor clothes line.  He didn't move while we were photographing it, but he was gone when we checked up on him later.  He was about 2 1/2 inches long without a tail.  I have read that they will shed their tail if a predator has a hold of it.  A new tail will regrow over time.  This photo is slightly blown up to show him better.  We were excited to see it.

      Van Campers

Van campers are becoming more popular again.  Here are four of them in the campground.  Most of the rigs are Mercedes, but there are a few Rams and fords out there too.  Complete, compact, and not cheap.

      Alto Trailer

I saw this rig when we made our morning rounds through the campground.  This Alto Trailer travels as a teardrop shape and at the campground, raises up and performs a stand-up travel trailer.  The black part is the raised portion. Pretty ingenious.  It is fun touring the camp each day seeing what has changed and what new rigs are we going to see today.  Of course, the boys couldn't care less.  They are interested in what new smells are available.

      VW Camper

Saw this rig in the campground on our morning rounds.  Brought back memories of our VW .  We had lots of adventures with it.  Eric slept up on top. Jason in a cot suspended across the f ront seats and us in the bed in the fold-down back seat.
No power. Poor heater.  Tight space for the four of us plus Rostig, out Doxie.  But we loved it !
